The new national education policy (nep) spells a long-term vision with far-reaching impact and will transform future challenges into opportunities by developing a quality education system, president ram nath kovind said on friday.

The pil filed by dhananjay kulkarni, a retired teacher from pune, has stated that because ugc was the regulation authority, maharashtra state was not empowered to decide and announce the mode of assessment for final year students, and has sought to set aside and quash the government resolution.

The pil, filed by akhil dilli prathmik shikshak sangh through advocate ranjit sharma, also sought directions to the respondents to reimburse the medical bills of the retired employees on account of medical treatment without delay.

A plea has been filed in the supreme court challenging the jharkhand high court order which had dismissed a petition seeking quashing of a notice issued by the national law school of india university (nlsiu), benguluru, regarding holding of separate entrance examination nlat-2020

The protesters said that the college administration has sent them a message saying that they have been promoted to the third semester but later they were asked to give an examination of the second semester.

The committees have recommended that the evaluation process should be completed as per the academic calendar in a bid to ensure that the next semester starts on time.
